How to check error events for diagnostics and troubleshooting

Romex software products will log errors to the system event log. The errors are visible in the Windows Event Viewer and you can check them for troubleshooting. Support professionals may also request error event data to diagnose problems.

The instructions below will walk you through the steps needed to check error events and obtain event data.
  1. Press the WINDOWS + R keys, and then type eventvwr in the Run dialog box to launch the Event Viewer.
  2. In the console tree, click to expand Windows Logs, and then select System. The results pane lists individual system events.
  3. Look for events with source as FancyCcV (PrimoCache) or FancyRd (Primo Ramdisk) in the results pane.
Alternatively, to filter the events by source, click Filter Current Log in the Actions pane, and then select Event sources.

  4. Click on the event to display event details in the section below. Click on the Details tab, then select Friendly View, copy Binary data in Bytes and send it to Support professionals if it is requested.
Alternatively, you can export events as a .evtx file by clicking Save Filtered Log File As... or Save All Events As....Enter a file name and then click Save. Send this file to Support professionals if necessary.
